SERVEIS

The Faculty of Medicine offers excellent physical and virtual resources to support the curriculum.

Library and Documentation Unit

The Library and Documentation Unit (UBiD) on the Health Campus has the mission of managing documentary resources. The purchase of the teaching bibliography recommended by the teaching staff in the subject guides, preferably in electronic format, contributes decisively and positively to student learning, not only through the provision of bibliographic services but also through the creation of guides and courses for a better use of available resources.

The BID of the Health Campus has different specific workspaces for students of the Medicine Degree (Roc Pifarré Room and Teresa Ribalta Room, and the "consultation" space). The Roc Pifarré and Teresa Ribalta Rooms are dedicated to providing user training courses. The “consultation” room is equipped with an examination bed and various medical instruments for practicing anamnesis and clinical examinations among students. Another feature of the library is the loan service of models of various anatomical structures.

The Information and Communication Systems Unit (SIC) offers (i) technological support for teaching, dedicated to improving the quality of teaching and learning through innovative tools, enabling ICT spaces (classrooms and user rooms), and maintaining specific teaching software; (ii) management support, providing ICT tools focused on academic management, research, finance, personnel, general secretariat and eAdministration, infrastructure, libraries, quality, publications, international relations, data, web publishing, and communication; (iii) research support, offering a range of services dedicated to supporting faculty in their research tasks through ICT tools; and (iv) student support, assisting with WIFI Eduroam configuration, email, UdL App, computer rooms, and user rooms. The UdL APP provides immediate access to university news. It is available for both Android and iOS devices. Created and designed for everyone who wants to stay up-to-date with the latest from our University: it allows you to receive notifications from professors directly on your phone or tablet, chat with classmates without sharing your phone number, check grades, access Virtual Campus resources, integrate your personal calendar with UdL’s, and learn about cultural, academic, and sports activities, calls for proposals, contests, and more. In summary, the app provides access to the most relevant services for students.

Our main tasks focus on pedagogical consulting and functional support for UdL's virtual campus tools. We also develop ICT tools and design interactive environments. You can see some examples by clicking on the following thumbnails:
